Iterative is currently a team of 14 and growing quickly across each of these teams.
We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Strategist (3-month contract) to help us scale our content engine and get more eyes on Iterative – especially from Founders. This is a short-term but significant role, perfect for someone who can jump in quickly, work independently, and move fast. Our next batch kicks off at the end of July, and we’ve got a full slate of initiatives lined up – so we’re looking for someone who’s available to start immediately.
You’ll report directly to our Marketing Lead, Judy, and collaborate closely with our Recruiting team (the folks who find the best Founders in Southeast Asia). Together, you’ll sharpen Iterative’s social voice and bring our founder-facing content to life in ways that are fun, relevant, and high-impact.
You’ll own the full content cycle – from strategy to execution – and help us build systems that make it easier for the team to scale content. There’s potential for full-time conversion if there’s a mutual fit.
Strategy and Experimentation – Develop and execute on a social media strategy to grow Iterative’s distinctive brand presence on social. Experiment with new content formats, initiatives and iterate on successes.
Content Creation – Grow brand awareness by working with our team and/or external partners to produce original content across different formats (written, video, etc in both long and short forms). Help promote our existing content (including videos, blog articles, threads, etc) in new ways fit for social media. Oversee content distribution optimizing for reach, engagement and resonance with founders.
Campaigns – Work with the team to conceptualise, develop and launch effective, high-impact campaigns and initiatives that drive the business goals.
Data Analysis – Track engagement rates, sentiment analysis, and user feedback. Provide analysis and learnings to the rest of the team. Utilize those learnings to refine social strategies and drive growth.
Community – Engage and interact with followers, subscribers or people interested in our content online and at events.
Month 1:
Analyse and audit the existing social media platforms. Provide recommendations for improvements.
Understand the brand’s target audience and develop a social media strategy for the brand’s key social platforms to achieve reach, acquisition and engagement.
Work independently or with the team to create monthly always-on content for the brand according to the strategy.
Monitor brand metrics and suggest improvements or iterations based on experiments run and performance achieved.
Month 2:

Following the team’s playbook, plan and develop content for the brand’s upcoming campaigns.
Plan, develop and participate in events supporting the team’s business goals.

Proven Experience – You have a proven track record of growing a brand via social media (across different platforms), creative execution and storytelling.
Highly Curious – You are curious about entrepreneurship or a very curious person in general (ideally both). You'll be distributing and creating content across a wide spectrum of topics from personal stories (why did you start your company, how did you meet your co-founder, etc.) to educational content (how to fundraise, how to tell if your idea is good, etc.). We find that people who are curious have more enthusiasm for the work and therefore do better.
Organized – You have good planning and coordination skills. You'll be working with our internal team members as well as external stakeholders (founders, users, service providers, etc) to create and schedule the posts, which requires having good timeline management.
Copywriting – You have good copywriting skills, and it's a bonus if you also have experience in visual designing or video editing. We don't expect you to be an expert in writing, designing or editing as you can work with service providers, but having a good eye for copy and design will be helpful for this role.
Growth Mindset – You have a growth mindset. Meaning you can and will learn whatever you need to get the job done. You’re comfortable stretching your existing skills or learning completely new ones.
Communication – You have strong communication skills whether verbal, written, or in presentations
Trendspotter – You’re immersed in internet culture and can use that knowledge to identify trends, creators and opportunities for Iterative.
There’s usually only one open role, even if multiple locations are listed. We’re a fully remote team and open to hiring remotely, but LinkedIn requires a city for job postings, so don’t read too much into that! 🙂
