This is a remote position.
Lead and motivate a team to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive, collaborative environment.
Supervise staff accountants’ work and provide constructive feedback.
Manage time effectively, prioritize urgent tasks, and handle multiple projects efficiently.
Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams via Slack, email, and phone calls.
Participate in weekly client calls and confidently lead discussions on AR, AP, and cash flow.
Support month-end close processes including reconciliations, financial analysis, and cash flow reporting.
Review and evaluate financials, workpapers, and processes; suggest and implement improvements.
Manage client expectations and maintain boundaries to ensure productive and respectful interactions.
Maintain and update internal tracking systems (e.g., Airtable) to support efficient operations.
Adapt to client software/platform changes and lead transitions with updated internal processes.
Mentor and train staff accountants, supporting their growth and maintaining quality standards.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Clear and professional communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Open to feedback and continuous improvement.

QuickBooks
NetSuite
Bill.com
Merchant platforms (Amazon, Shopify, Stripe)
Payroll
Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Cash flow tools
Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
Ability to follow and develop workpapers and checklists.
Skilled in leading weekly AR, AP, and cash flow meetings.
Ability to prioritize client requests based on urgency and importance.
Experience supporting full balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis.
Understand client businesses and internal processes.
Experience cultivating and leading successful teams.
Ability to train and review close work of staff accountants.
Ability to clearly set and maintain staff expectations on communication and time management.
Ability to maintain and update internal systems to reflect current project status and deadlines.
Uphold quality standards by using provided templates and processes.
Participate actively in ongoing internal training.
Proactively suggest improvements to enhance team efficiency and quality.
Maintain updated calendar availability for workload planning.
