The Operations and HR Associate will support both operational and human resource functions while contributing to effective communications efforts within Connexi. The role balances operational oversight, HR support, and strategic communication, ensuring smooth internal processes, employee engagement, and an effective external presence. This position requires a highly organized, results-driven professional who excels in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Operations (40%):
Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency across departments
Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for operational enhancement
Project Management: Oversee and ensure timely, budget-compliant completion of operational projects
Compliance: Ensure all operational activities align with local, state, and federal regulations, and support compliance initiatives
Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
Operational Troubleshooting: Address and resolve operational challenges in collaboration with the Global Operations team Global Operations Support: Assist in establishing and expanding Connexi’s operations in new regions, including managing local compliance and coordinating with external service providers such as legal, banking, and accounting services.
HR Support (40%):
Staff Support: Provide day-to-day support to staff, addressing employee needs and resolving concerns in a timely manner
Recruitment: Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and coordination of interviews
Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing employees
Employee Engagement: Foster a positive workplace culture by organizing employee engagement activities and supporting team-building initiatives
HR Compliance: Ensure all HR-related processes are in compliance with legal and organizational standards
Training & Development: Help identify staff training needs and assist in organizing professional development programs
HR Administrative Support: Maintain and update employee records, benefits, and other HR documentation
Communications (20%):
Internal Communication Support: Assist in communicating key organizational updates and messages to staff and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Connexi's mission
Content Development: Write and edit engaging content for Connexi's website, social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn), and other external communications
Website Administration: Regularly update and maintain the Connexi website (WordPress), ensuring content accuracy and technical functionality
Social Media Coordination: Manage social media content, helping to amplify Connexi’s reach and visibility
Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, webinars, or industry forums to engage stakeholders and promote Connexi’s thought leadership
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with various teams to develop communication tools, templates, and visuals for internal and external use.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in operations management, human resources, communications, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, HR, and/or communications
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, WordPress, and social media platforms. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.) is a plus
HR & Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR practices, operational efficiency, and compliance requirements
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for creating compelling content
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with staff, leadership, and external partners while maintaining a collaborative and supportive work environment
Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in international development or similar sectors
Familiarity with project management software and tools
Proficiency with data analysis tools
