Event Program and Speaker Specialist
How will you make a difference to PMI?
Entry level professional that plays a key role in designing and curating educational content for PMI events, including PMXPO, Global Summit, and related series. This role oversees speaker management, program development, and aligns event programming with PMI's thought leadership. Collaborating with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, these individual influences event design, customer experience, and marketing strategies. Flexibility to work independently or collaboratively and availability during events, including after-hours, is essential.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
Plan, develop, and curate educational programming for PMI Events such as PMXPO, Global Summit and Global Summit Series.
Responsible for speaker management and program development processes for speakers (virtual or in person)
Proactively seek out and understand PMI thought leadership direction to better inform event programming
Influences the event design and customer experience at PMI events
Interacts with vendors and stakeholders
In partnership with marketing, brand and communications teams these individual influences marketing strategy and campaigns.
Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Work independently or collaboratively depending on project assigned.
Ability to work after hours and weekends during events.
Role Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, education or other related field or relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in event programming and speaker management
Minimum 3 -5 years’ in leading virtual events (experience with Notified, Airmeet, Zoom a plus)
