Job description

Imagine this:

A brand-new customer just signed with Expel, and you're the first person they meet. You welcome them aboard and, from the jump, guide them through a seamless implementation experience—one that feels less like onboarding and more like unlocking superhero status.

Within days, they’re up and running, diving into Expel’s platform with clarity and confidence, because you orchestrated every piece to fall into place. Your process was smooth, your coordination flawless, and your team? They were right there with you, supported by your leadership and insight.

Now zoom out: you're not just onboarding one customer. You're helping build and scale a best-in-class implementation practice. You’re setting standards, strengthening playbooks, and continuously identifying how to make onboarding more magical—both for our customers and for our team.

You balance strategy and execution, hands-on delivery and team leadership. You love clear processes, know the value of a well-run project meeting, and never miss a beat. You geek out on reducing time-to-value and believe that onboarding should never feel like an afterthought—it should be the start of something great.

Sound like you?

At Expel, we’re changing the game in managed security.

We’re helping customers understand, trust, and activate our service from day one. If building delightful, scalable, and impactful onboarding experiences fires you up—we’d love to meet you.

What Expel can do for you:
  • Drop you into a fast-growing cybersecurity company with a customer experience culture that actually delivers on the promise.
  • Give you ownership of a critical part of the customer lifecycle—and the support to improve and evolve it.
  • Connect you with thoughtful teammates across customer success, sales, and engineering who are as invested in great delivery as you are.
  • Encourage you to explore ideas that reduce friction and increase impact during implementation.
  • Provide a collaborative, transparent work culture where experimentation and growth are encouraged.
  • Offer flexibility in location and schedule, with an understanding of the realities of work/life integration.

What you can do for Expel:
  • Lead and execute customer onboardings while building a team that does the same.
  • Own the end-to-end implementation experience for new customers—making it fast, easy, and delightful.
  • Run weekly team syncs, track inflight projects, and escalate risks when needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and raise product improvement opportunities.
  • Create playbooks for complex or delayed onboardings and drive toward continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and improve CSAT post-onboarding.
  • Own metrics and reporting to track implementation performance.
  • Help forecast team capacity needs as we scale.
  • Champion clarity, organization, and empathy in every customer interaction.

What You Should Bring With You
  • Has 7+ years of experience implementing SaaS or IT/Security solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Can juggle project timelines and priorities without breaking a sweat.
  • Thrives when working cross-functionally to solve problems and build smarter processes.
  • Understands enterprise architecture, cloud deployments, and security tools (EDR, NDR, SIEM, CASB—you know the alphabet soup).
  • Brings knowledge of networking, security frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Is PMP/CAPM-certified or similarly experienced in project management frameworks.
  • Loves listening, organizing, and making the complicated feel simple.
