Schedule:

  • 10 hours per week; Monday to Friday 10am to 12pm Sydney Time

Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client’s successful wholesale distribution business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial operations for a diverse and growing company while working remotely with modern accounting systems. The position starts at 10 hours per week with strong potential for increased hours and expanded responsibilities. You’ll be instrumental in streamlining financial processes, improving cash flow management, and supporting the company’s continued growth through efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily financial operations using Xero accounting software
  • Process and reconcile transactions across multiple payment methods including credit cards, bank transfers, and account payments
  • Proactively manage accounts receivable, including following up with customers and sending regular statements
  • Handle accounts payable and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Process and distribute remittance advices to ensure timely communication with business partners
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with regular reporting
  • Support various accounting activities including reconciliations and transaction processing
  • Contribute to improving financial processes and procedures


Requirements
  • Proven experience with Xero accounting software
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation system, including GST requirements
  • Previous experience working with Australian businesses required
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Experience in wholesale or B2B environment preferred
  • Available during Australian business hours (initial schedule 10AM-12PM Sydney time)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Professional approach to handling confidential financial information
  • Filipino candidates preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to business-specific processes and systems
