About The Role

The Data Manager is responsible for developing analytics, reports, and dashboards to support Within Health’s clinical and business needs. Their duties include developing procedures for data collection and sharing as well as evaluating the integrity of data sets and continuously improving data management strategies. The Data Manager acts as the internal data subject matter expert that maintains a deep knowledge of internal data sources and ensures the accuracy and completion of data sets.

What You'll Do

• Utilizing multiple sources of data (claims, outcome measures, app-based, manually abstracted) creates and maintains dashboards, reports and analytical tools to inform stakeholder decision making. Designs and documents specifications for dashboards, reports and analytical tools.
• In collaboration with various departments, streamline data collection, harvest, and analysis procedures to ensure timely access to metrics.
• Creation and maintenance of internal data dictionary that includes present state as well as future state with a priority matrix and timeline for implementation of collection.
• Analyzing data for possible inconsistencies that may skew analytical results, working in concert with developers and clinical research leadership, identify and solve data quality issues.
• Assist with presentation of marketing and research metrics.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for effective data handling and management.
• Assessing systems and recommending necessary software, hardware and storage upgrades.
• Providing guidance and training for care team members as appropriate.
• Applying best practices when storing and organizing data.
• Ensures that Within Health’s data management protocols, data security and confidentiality is maintained and in line with regulatory and industry standards.
• When appropriate, manage special projects for the VP Clinical Operations that focus on clinical transformation.
• Other duties as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in information management, data science, data analysis, statistics, finance, or healthcare administration preferred.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google sheets with at least 2 years of experience working with large data sets.
• 3+ years experience in data analytics
• Strong SQL, UI design and team skills
• Experience with electronic health records, health information systems and health care applications
• Experience with Salesforce and Apero a plus
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Highly detail oriented and conscientious.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
• Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.
  
  

Physical And Environmental Requirements

• Must be able to operate a computer and navigate applications within a smart-phone, iPhone, MacBook computer and/or tablet.
• Must be able to converse with colleagues via telephone and computer programs.
• Able to sit for the majority of shifts.
• Must have reliable internet connection.
• This is a work-from-home position. Work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise.
