The role:
Our company is seeking an experienced PR/Communications Manager to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our external communications strategy to enhance our brand visibility and reputation in the market. You will work closely with our marketing, product, and executive teams to craft compelling narratives about our company's solutions, partnerships, and thought leadership. This position reports to the Marketing Lead and will play a crucial role in amplifying our company's voice across various channels and audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain media relationships to effectively manage company announcements around partnerships, projects, and product launches.
- Develop relationships with industry associations to secure speaking opportunities and engagement in relevant working groups.
- Secure thought leadership opportunities (speaking slots, interviews, content placement) for company executives.
- Build and manage relationships with customer communications teams to identify and execute co-marketing opportunities.
- Drive media coverage and promotion for company content, events, and marketing initiatives to increase visibility and engagement.
- Manage both earned and paid media opportunities to maximise return on communications investment.
- Build and manage key analyst relationships to ensure our company is positioned favourably in industry reports.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive PR calendar aligned with company initiatives and industry events.
- Draft press releases, media pitches, talking points, and other communications materials.
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reporting on PR performance and competitive landscape.
About you:
- 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations, preferably in a relevant industry
- Proven track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with journalists and analysts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience with media monitoring tools and analytics to measure communications effectiveness
- Strategic thinker who can align communications efforts with broader business objectives
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments
- Experience in the PR sustainability landscape is a plus
