THE ROLE

Career.io is seeking an aspiring Digital PR Executive to join our rapidly growing, dynamic team. The ultimate goal for anyone in this role is to drive more users to our websites in international markets and boost awareness via PR channels. The goal will require supporting the SEO and Digital PR team to help develop PR strategies that will drive awareness and engagement for our suite of brands. 

A successful candidate will work as part of a hard-working, growing Digital PR team, to develop relationships with key media to who you will pitch compelling news flow and stories. We’re looking for someone with creative flair, great communication and writing skills and be driven to get our brands noticed online. 

This is a 100% remote/work-from-home role.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create digital PR and outreach campaigns to improve our online presence.
  • Analyze data to craft newsworthy, compelling stories for campaigns. 
  • Build rich media lists, identifying relevant websites, news outlets and journalists.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists and other media contacts. 
  • Write engaging, on-brand press releases that attract media attention. 
  • Support the Digital PR team in the curation of website copy for campaigns. 
  • Identify industry trends for reactive PR opportunities.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for campaign ideas.
  • Use tools like MuckRack, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to measure success. 
THE MUST-HAVES
  • A university-level degree in Marketing, Journalism, Literature, Creative Writing or a related field.
  • Excellent English proficiency (both speaking and writing).
  • A natural curiosity for spotting newsworthy trends.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience writing professional emails.
  • Experience using Google Sheet/Docs.
  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Authorization to work for any US employer.
THE NICE-TO-HAVES
  • 6 months to 1 year’s experience in Traditional or Digital PR.
  • Experience in PR, social media or similar specialism.
  • Experience conducting press releases.
  • A basic understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages can be an advantage for international outreach.
  • Experience in Canva, Infogram or similar design tools.
