We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Backend Developer to join our Data Core team. This team is focused on creating an innovative data solution that handles data and provides context for our various applications. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining data-driven applications.

This role involves hands-on development with technologies such as Azure Cloud, Docker, prompt engineering, vector databases, SQL and NoSQL, Python, Airflow, NestJS, and NextJS, with an emphasis on scalability, quality, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Ownership: Oversee core components and features of the data platform, ensuring scalability and robust architecture.

Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (data scientists, analysts, product managers, engineers) to align technical solutions with business goals.

Best Practices: Promote engineering standards for code quality, security, observability, and maintainability.

Security Implementation: Lead the development of secure, privacy-compliant systems and address potential vulnerabilities proactively.

Troubleshooting and Mentorship: Resolve complex production issues and guide other engineers in debugging techniques.

Tool Evaluation: Introduce new tools and methodologies to enhance platform efficiency and modernity.

Technical Reference: Serve as an expert on Generative AI engineering topics, including prompt management, RAG, embeddings, and chunking

Qualifications:

Proven experience leading development efforts on scalable, high-performance platforms.

Deep expertise in backend engineering using Python and Node.js (especially NestJS).

Strong experience with modern frontend technologies (NextJS or equivalent).

Solid understanding of Azure Cloud, Docker, and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Solid background in security-focused development and content protection strategies.

Passion for Generative AI, with hands-on experience in LangChain, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

Ability to mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and guide architectural decisions.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and concepts around modern data platforms.

Exposure to additional programming languages and tools.

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD practices, and cloud-native architectures.

Experience optimizing developer experience and building reusable internal components.

Relevant certifications in AI, security, or cloud platforms are a plus.
