THE ROLE

We are seeking a Global Director of Procurement to lead the establishment, development, and management of a comprehensive purchasing and supply chain system that supports our global Food & Beverage (F&B) operations. This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining streamlined processes for buying, receiving, requisitioning, inventory management, and reporting, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all locations. The ideal candidate will actively oversee procurement strategies, focusing on optimizing vendor relationships, cost management, and compliance while driving rebate and incentive programs to maximize company savings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General:

  • Global Director of Procurement will be responsible for establishment and development of purchasing/supply chain system.
  • System to allow appropriate processes for buying, receiving, requisitioning, inventory, and reporting needs.
  • Role leader will continually assess system management required in regard to maintenance, staffing needs, and give goal to process expectations.
  • Focused role of new locations and key event management of systems, inclusive of oversee of initial events until comfortable with location adherence.
  • Large event support, inclusive of menu planning, forecasting, policy adherence, execution of events, etc.
  • Global Director of Procurement to serve as dotted line report for location Purchasing/Supply Chain leaders to ensure management of all practices – inclusive of buying, warehouse management, payables assistance, and inventory control management
  • This role will contribute to developing the procurement strategy, funded by our food and beverage (F&B) suppliers, programs, and services.
  • The position will oversee the billing process with vendors and ensure compliance reporting to optimize spending, rebates, and incentives for the company.

Additionally, this role will provide procurement and F&B support for new openings and collaborate with suppliers and staff.

Buying:

  • Reviewer of ordering of key locations determined by assessment of risk.
  • Review’s additional location spend reports – purchases vs forecasted purchases/sales.
  • Regional coverage to ensure synchronized usage of items within locations.
  • Menus are reviewed before season of additional locations – sign off annually per location.
  • Determine cost impact of potential client required programs – sign off with location prior utilization.
  • Assist managed stock levels of dedicated and high usage items with key purveyors – approver of stocking requests.
  • Forecast assists for all needs pre- and mid-season.
  • Monthly assist of review of spend reports of key purveyors, credit card usage, etc.
  • Reviewer and approver of all special order/stock request submissions
  • Ensure communication to field to confirm commodity items are purchased at optimal seasons – preventing locations from potential overspend and purchasing sub-par qualities.

Warehouse Management:

  • Reviewer annually of determined location management processes of warehouse receiving, storage and distribution per location.
  • Reviewer annually of timeline of delivery and requisition schedule to be established.
  • Assist with purveyor delivery concern solves.
  • Guide management of labor budget values

Payables:

  • Approver of purveyor set-up requests per location
  • Monthly review of month-end accrual log per location

Pre-opening support:

  • Position will lead the pre-opening process for F&B procurement and setting up accounts for suppliers and venues and the staff.

Inventory Control Management:  

  • Global Director of Procurement to review locations’ inventory usage and extension reports
  • Reviewer of yield analysis to be monitored of draft beer and fountain soda
  • Flash report manager and reviewer.

Additional:

  • Additional assistance of year-end review of salary team members and key staff members
    • Focus on short- and long-term opportunities for team members to ensure adequate career growth is communicated and achievable.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
