What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration and a strong understanding of employee benefits programs. This role will be responsible for assisting the AVP of Benefits in managing and administering our company's benefits plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent support to our employees.
What You’ll Do: 
  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance on plan options and enrollment processes.
  • Act as a point of escalation to assist employees with dependent eligibility verifications and processing qualified life event changes.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data and run ad-hoc benefit reports.
  • Assist in retirement and benefit plan compliance activities including annual retirement plan audits, IRS audits, non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and related communications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new benefit programs and initiatives.
  • Complete monthly invoice billing reconciliation and payment processes.
  • Help to identify and implement wellness programs to promote employee well-being and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Participate in various HR related special projects and other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal laws impacting benefit-related regulatory requirements, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, IRS and other applicable regulations.
  • Paycor/Bswift or similar HRIS experience is preferred.
  • HR Generalist or Compensation experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Uncompromising ethics and confidentiality required.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
 
**Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. ** 
  
Compensation: 
The annual salary for this position generally ranges between $60,000 - $70,000.
