Description

Job Summary 

As a Data Engineering Architect, you will serve as a leader planning the basic function of our data based on the needs of the industry. Areas of focus will be order data ETL process required for source data fulfilment, and governance and growth of the data warehouse. You will communicate with stakeholders about the problems they’re experiencing and determine how to address those issues through software. You will track each aspect of our system to make sure that your team is producing the appropriate infrastructure to host a functioning software application. You will guide in implementing tests, identifying bugs, maintaining standards, and correcting lines of code to ensure the software works correctly, tracking major changes and patches. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to determine DevOps requirements. 
  • Creating high-level system specifications and design documents. 
  • Providing the development team with architectural blueprints to follow. 
  • Guiding and assisting the development team throughout the process. 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design. 
  • Ensuring that you and the team adhere to development schedules and deadlines. 
  • Presenting regular progress reports and setting goals. 
  • Testing the final product to ensure it is completely functional and meets requirements. 
  • Updating software solutions as required.

Qualifications

Working Conditions 

  • This position requires the incumbent to work indoors at a desk for extended periods of time and use of workstation. 
  • The person must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions in a fast-paced, team environment.   
  • This position may be requested to work overtime on occasion to meet company objectives. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time 
  • Must be able to occasionally move about the office to access office equipment, etc.  
  • Must be able to constantly operate office equipment such as a keyboard, phone, computer, copier, fax machine and printer, etc.  
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with and listen to other InformData employees and vendors 
  • Must be able to occasionally move, bend, lift, push, pull and carry no more than 20 pounds 
  • Must be able to view multiple monitors for extended periods of time
