About The Opportunity

The data architect’s role is to strategically design and manage the infrastructure components related to the data lifecycle. The role will be responsible for standards and models across the enterprise and have oversight of data integrations, storage, modeling and engineering within the data center of excellence. The role will conduct continuous research and make recommendations on platform capabilities, best practices, services, protocols and standards.

You will get to collaborate across functions to help shape the future of our internal data practice. We are looking for a talented Data Architect that is consultative, collaborative, growth-oriented and has ideally taken their company from on-premise to cloud-based data solutions.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for data in conjunction with data analysts, end users, function leaders, and other key stakeholders
  • Coordinate with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Plan and implement capacity and resource expansion to ensure data scalability
  • Design and implement policies, and procedures to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets
  • Evaluate, recommend, and select data platform components
  • Design and manage data platform strategies and growth projects
  • Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Diagnose and resolve data access and performance issues
  • Manage configurations and performance tuning
  • Monitor system details across data marts, procs, pipelines, gateways, flows and reports

Skills And Experience We Value

  • 5+ years of demonstrated data engineering and development experience is ideal
  • 5+ years of custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance is ideal
  • Proficiency in design and implementation of advance data integrations, schemas and models
  • Experience with Azure data stack & ecosystem is strongly preferred - ie. Working experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ML
  • We are open to other data ecosystems like AWS given the right skill set
  • Experience with Power BI and other data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of API led architectures is ideal
  • Experience implementing data solutions in agile, development environments is ideal
