Key responsabilities:

  • Review expenditures for completeness and timeliness, and assist in training new staff on systems and processes.
  • Investigate and correct errors in payables entries and ensure appropriate reporting to the State for tracking expenditures.

Working Title: Financial Operations Senior Associate

FLSA Status: Exempt

Posting Salary Range: $48,801 - $61,532

Office Location: Remote within North Carolina.

What We’re Looking For

Trillium is seeking a talented Financial Operations Senior Associate! Join our Finance Department and play a vital role in organizing fiscal and budgetary operations for our agency. You will be responsible for financial planning, ensuring compliance with fiscal policies at all levels. As a Financial Operations Senior Associate, you'll analyze payments for contracts with vendors, providers, and landlords. You will apply your accounting expertise to prepare financial reports and ensure accurate payments by interpreting contract terms. On a typical day, you might:

  • Review expenditures to ensure that they are complete and timely.
  • Assist in training new staff on systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Work with the Financial Operations Team on assignments, tasks, and guiding the workflow.
  • Review processes and procedures to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently.  
  • Ensure appropriate reporting to the State for specific programs for tracking expenditures.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries as needed. 
  • Review, investigate and correct errors in payables entries, documents, and reports.

Qualifications: 

Education/Experience:
 
Associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience working with a health plan or other managed care entity, behavioral health services provider, or hospital entity in accounting field or financial analysis.

OR

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience working with a health plan or other managed care entity, behavioral health services provider, or hospital entity in accounting field or financial analysis.

OR

Equivalent combination of education/experience.

 

Preferred Education: 
 
Prefer degree in Accounting, Finance or Business including mathematics or statistics.  

Preferred Experience: 
 
Preferred, four (4) years of experience working in accounts payable with a health plan or other managed care entity or behavioral health services provider or hospital entity.

License/Certification: 
 Must have a valid driver’s license

Location:
 
Remote within North Carolina. 
 Must reside in NC to be considered for remote status.
