Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • 37.5 Hours a week
  • Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4 PM Murrieta, CA time with a 30-minute unpaid break


Scope:

  • Handling bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients
  • Collaborating with the accounting firm’s team and clients as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry tasks for financial transactions
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of client accounts
  • Contact clients to clarify unclear transactions or gather additional information
  • Close books on a month-to-month basis
  • Assist with special projects, such as preparing forms for bankruptcy clients
  • Work within QuickBooks (both desktop and online versions)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and online versions)
  • MUST HAVE A WINDOWS OS COMPUTER
  • Proficiency in US individual income tax preparation
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits and credits)
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
  • Experience with data entry and financial record-keeping
