Summary
The QA & Testing Advisor role reports into the Cigna UM Physician Operations department within the Clinical Care Management (CCM) organization. This team member is responsible for providing expert content and professional leadership on complex Quality Assurance (QA) assignments and projects. The QA & Testing Advisor is responsible for creating standard test environments, plans, and scripts and prepares and conducts acceptance testing of new or modified applications and systems. The primary focus of Quality Assurance & Testing for this role will align with the Think Tank Tracking Tool (T4) but will expand to other workflow management solutions. As such, the ideal candidate will be recognized as a subject matter expert for T4 but will require a wider business understanding.
Responsibilities
Working with client and IT management and staff to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology
Consulting with client and information technology (IT) management and staff throughout a project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems
Analyzing designs, new or modified QA procedures, and standards
Assisting in the development and implementation of QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered application software
Developing automated testing systems for procedural or standard changes
Participating in the review of new QA software and consultations with IT staff and client areas and resolving questions during the testing process
Exercising considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives
Using deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders
Qualifications
3+ years' experience within a healthcare environment
3+ years' experience with SQA automated and manual testing (Experience with T4 tool preferred)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong analytic/problem solving skills and ability to work independently
Ability to understand and manage risk
Demonstrated experience and exceptional ability to work productively in a matrix environment across geography, departments and position level
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and switch gears to new projects when needed
Must be a team player with demonstrated ability to work well with others and collaboratively resolve issues
Dedicated to innovation and designing a new way to approach work
