Job description

The Momentus Capital branded family of organizations - which includes Capital Impact Partners and CDC Small Business Finance and Momentus Securities (an SEC-registered broker-dealer, MSRB-registered, FINRA/SIPC member) - are transforming how capital and investments flow into communities to provide people access to the capital and opportunities they deserve.

We are working to reinvent traditional financial systems and advance locally-led solutions that create economic mobility and generational wealth. Through our continuum of financial, knowledge, and social capital, we offer a comprehensive package of loan products, impact investment opportunities, training and business advising programs, and technology solutions.

Our holistic and streamlined approach offers comprehensive solutions for small business entrepreneurs, real estate developers, community-based organizations, and local leaders at every stage of growth, from inception to expansion. When these leaders have the opportunity to succeed, their communities, their residents – and our country – thrive.

Responsibility #1: Franchise Support

Gather data to potentially expand CDC Small Business Finance's customer base through franchise support activities. Details as follows:

1)      Identify franchise consultants: We have continued our franchise initiative outreach efforts and have a new position for an intern in the franchise space. The primary role of the intern in the franchise initiative would be to research possible franchise consultants that our sales team can reach out to. They would identify contact information and save this in our shared spreadsheet for the Loan Officers to access.

2)      Research Franchisors: Research the franchisors that we have already identified, look them up online to acquire key data on the franchisors (right party contact, website, size, plans for expansion, # of franchisees, primary geography) so that we can decide which ones we want to pursue as a customer acquisition channel.

3)       MailChimp Support: Help with setting up MailChimp campaigns for outreach to franchisors as well as SBDC contacts.

4)      Research Franchise Events: Create a tab in our shared spreadsheet with all the franchise events happening over the year so we can assess which ones we want to attend. Review events that are being put on by IFA, MFV, franchise suppliers, franchise consultants, and franchisors, identifying date, location, attendees and costs for these.

5)      Analysis:Once the spreadsheet is populated, the intern could assist in analyzing the data to identify potential targets for customer acquisition. This might involve identifying franchisors or franchise consultants with significant growth potential, strong geographic presence in areas of interest, or alignment with CDC Small Business Finance's target market.
