This position reports to the Senior Translation Manager. This role will be responsible for assisting in the translation of a variety of company documents from English to French for both internal and external purposes. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
As a Translator, You Will
Translate a variety of different documents for an internal audience, primarily retail stores.
Translate digital content referencing existing systems, tools, apps and software.
Contribute to the terminology database.
Occasionally review documents translated by third-party service providers.
Occasionally proof materials that will be printed or published.
We’d Love To Hear From People With
2-3 years of experience in translation.
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
University undergraduate degree in translation or related field.
OTTIAQ/ATIO certification or proof of pending membership.
Proficient use with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Knowledge of standard translation tools (Trados Studio, BTQ and Termium), particularly translation memories.
Detail-oriented with excellent proof-reading skills.
Strong organization skills, with the ability to prioritize.
Ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
