Operational Excellence & Change Support - ARDGA841881 - Home/National

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team, reporting to the Head of Operational Change and working remotely you will be responsible for supporting operational change delivery across multiple systems and businesses.

Our Operational Change Support is responsible for providing support to make and manage change, to drive and improve business processes to ensure we are providing the highest levels of service, accuracy, efficiency & compliance and to facilitate operational efficiencies in a consistent & compliant manner.

Key Role Accountabilities

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

  • Support Business Improvement through liaison with relevant business partners & key stakeholders to identify, document & facilitate process change, delivering efficiencies, positively impacting income &/or driving better outcomes for customers.
  • Oversight and management of the change inbox, raising change tickets as required for work to be completed.
  • Create mapping documents & SOP’s (Standard Operating Practices) that support improvements to existing processes or introduce new processes where a need is identified.
  • Provide support to Change Projects, as required; co-ordinating resource, communicating updates, following up action points to ensure that all relevant Change is delivered by priority and in a timely fashion.
  • Take the lead in testing of process and system changes in UAT/MIG to ensure that updates are correct and reviewed/signed off before release into Production environment/out to business users.
  • Provide evidence of control framework & accurate action governance around all supported change, testing & processes.
  • Manage specifically allocated tasks within Operations Projects, as directed by Head of Operational Change.
  • Support optimisation though ongoing review & improvement, collaborating with Business Teams to realise opportunities to optimise functionality, documenting & rolling out process change & sharing best practice.
  • Researching and testing alternative methods of improving efficiency.
  • Management of continuous improvement, reacting to analysis and outputs of Operational Excellence reviews, enabling both proactive Customer Service and improved processes.
  • Work with operational & business colleagues to achieve consistency across all operational disciplines.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory & legal requirements, relevant to the role.
  • Support & promote understanding of compliance within the Operations team & the wider business.
  • Maintain process guide/Engage page and change trackers.

What we are looking for in an Operational Excellence & Change Support:

  • Confident & assertive communicator, capable of sharing written & verbal information effectively and able to quantify and present ideas succinctly.
  • Adaptable, with experience of developing & fostering strong working relationships with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
  • Track record of improving Business Processes, with strong administrative & organisational skills.
  • Understanding of the Project delivery lifecycle with strong practical experience of managing multiple workstreams and interdependencies between projects.
  • Pragmatic, with a proven ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and work autonomously, using pre-agreed rationales to prioritise tasks and confidence to make measured decisions.
  • An appreciation and working knowledge of regulatory / legislative framework within the Insurance Industry.
  • Experience of working on Acturis/OGI PAS systems, preferably with first-hand user experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a track record of effecting change across a complex organisation.
  • Experience & understanding of Change management processes.
  • An ability to prioritise, use initiative & to manage stakeholder expectations.
