We are on the lookout 🕵🏻 for the next finance guru to join our HKR team as a Controller, working for a US-based client in owning financial operations, compliance, and strategy from the top down. 🇺🇸

What you'll be doing?
  • 🔸 Manage and streamline financial ops—including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and revenue booking.
  • 🔸 Own 1099 compliance: collect W9s, review vendors, manage records, and handle IRS reporting.
  • 🔸 Oversee tuition reimbursement processing across clients: verify policies, schedule payments, and report with precision.
  • 🔸 Lead financial reporting like a boss: month-end, year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and department allocations.
  • 🔸 Collaborate cross-functionally—run regular financial reviews with leadership and respond to client inquiries.
  • 🔸 Elevate system workflows by maintaining QuickBooks Online, managing invoice tracking, and proposing automation improvements.
  • 🔸 Troubleshoot payment issues and implement smarter solutions to keep things running smoothly.

  • 📊 You’ve got 5+ years in accounting, financial management, or controllership under your belt.
  • 📊 You’re fluent in GAAP, financial reporting, and payment processing.
  • 📊 QuickBooks Online? BILL? That’s your domain.
  • 📊 You’re detail-obsessed and love streamlining processes and systems.
  • 📊 You communicate confidently with execs, clients, vendors, and everyone in between.
  • 📊 You manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments without breaking a sweat.
  • 📊 Bonus points if you’ve got a CPA license (but not a dealbreaker).
