As our Senior Partnership Accountant, you will be a key member of the management company finance team. This team has a broad mandate and is responsible for managing the books, records, and budgets of both US and International businesses, and managing tax filings with external service providers. You will report to our [Senior Finance Director/CFO] and be responsible for all processes and accounting for partner capital accounts and records. This role is a means to make a difference: providing critical support to the most senior executives at the firm, as well as various growth initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesProvide excellent service to Voleon partners, including timely and accurate communications on income and tax compliancePrepare, maintain and reconcile partnership capital accounts on both economic and tax basis, including all supporting schedules and related recordsManage processes related to monthly, quarterly and annual distributions in close coordination with tax team and other stakeholdersManage treasury operations related to partner investment subscriptions and redemptionsAssist with annual audit and tax preparation processes for both partnership and C-Corp entitiesSupport cross-functional initiatives including HR, Legal and Fund FinanceLead bespoke projects to improve our management company finances and our finance effort overallDocument all processes and drive improvements and efficiencies with other teams Requirements10+ years of experience in public or financial accounting, with minimum of 3 years partnership accounting experience requiredDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively at a high level with partners, senior management and other stakeholdersExpertise with US GAAP and its application to partnerships and/or investment managementExperience with both corporate and partnership taxationProven record of success at a top tier accounting firm is preferredAble to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environmentActive CPAMaster's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) preferredThe base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
