Job description

This leadership role will oversee the next generation of digital experiences for children and adults managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This role is critical to setting the company’s best in class experience strategy and other innovative methodologies for Insulet’s award-winning OmniPod products and other drug delivery solutions. You are a visionary and impactful leader, who inspires teams to craft and deliver exceptional experiences for millions of customers. Leading a team of UX professionals, you will be a manager of managers and principals, a mentor and a champion for customer obsession and high-quality design. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, you will drive user-centric strategies that not only fuel business growth but also redefine how customers quickly and confidently achieve the benefits of Omnipod.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for user experience initiatives.
Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across the organization.
Influence decision-makers by communicating the value of user-centric design solutions.
Foster collaboration between UX, data, product, engineering, and marketing partners.
Balance strategic thinking with pragmatic decision-making.
Ensure alignment on customer goals, priorities, and measures of success.
Provide visionary leadership to the UX team and the organization, setting clear goals and expectations.
Translate complex business problems into actionable UX strategies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and scope UX projects effectively.
Lead the resolution of UX-related issues and challenges.
Foster a proactive problem-solving mindset within the UX team.
Optimize the utilization of UX resources and budgets.
Mentor and coach across the org, fostering growth and development.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred in cognitive science, experimental psychology, HCI, Interaction Design or related discipline required. In lieu of degree,15 years of experience.
• At least 10+ years’ experience managing and leading user research on web and mobile applications in a technology-centered company; medical devices industry desired.
• Expert in UX methodologies and standards for web, mobile, and other platforms.
• Strong leadership, excellent communications skills and extensive experience leading and working with technical teams and management.
• Drive and own design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $236,175.00 - $354,262.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
