Sales Manager, Human Nutrition and Pharma

As our next Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining existing business and developing new business and overall sales management of our Human Nutrition & Pharma portfolio. You will manage existing business and develop business with new customers. You will be supported by the customer service team and work closely together with product management, supply chain and marketing to reach the business objectives. This is an individual contributor role within the Nutrition and Pharma sales team, reporting to the General Manager of Nutrition and Pharma in North America. This position will be based in the U.S. or Mexico.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or a degree in Food Science, Nutrition or equivalent knowledge by experience.
• Three (3)+ years of experience in sales and business management at an international level
• Deep affinity with Human Nutrition and health care
• Long term relationship builder with internal partners, customers and business connections
• Commercial & closing skills, including drafting and closing of contracts (with support from legal)
• Collaborative team player
• Must be fluent in English
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel 30 %, annually

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business and/or a degree in Food Science, Nutrition or equivalent knowledge by experience
• At least 5 years of experience in International B2B raw material or ingredient sales with a sustainability value proposition and key account management elements.
• Ability to demonstrate Impact, initiative, and leadership to drive business results in sales and development
• Bi-lingual, English and Spanish

Essential Job Functions :

• Maintain and grow business at existing accounts
• Set up and execute regional sales strategies and plans to realize the business objectives.
• Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities to materialize on the objectives.
• Responsible for realization of business targets (revenues, volumes, prices, margins) of customers in the region.
• In cooperation with product management, set up and execute on pricing strategies.
• Develop and execute on tactical/strategic planning and realize business targets.
• Contract negotiations and closing in alignment with product management and commercial director.
• Identify sustainable market opportunities to further develop the business in the region.
• Build and maintain new business development pipeline and support new product launches.
• Collaborate with supply chain to ensure accurate account forecasting and supply for the region.
• Work jointly with the customer service team to manage the customer interface.
• Gather market and competitive information to support the regional and global strategy.
• Active management of working capital in terms of credit limits, payment terms and overdue management.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s title and position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, location and business or organizational needs. The base salary range for U.S. based candidate is $130,000 to $180,000. For candidates outside of the U.S., the salary range will be based on the regional market.

Physical Demands:

The work is performed mainly in the General Office Environment and may occur in customer production and lab areas where PPE is required. Through the course of a typical work day, an individual in this position will perform the following activities:

• Prolonged sitting, 50% of the time
• (Extensive) walking, 20% of the time
• Ability to lift and carry object of up to 15-20 lbs.
• Reach above and below shoulders
• Driving or taking flights to regional locations, up to 30%
