Job description

Purpose

This purpose of the Product Manager role is to manage strategic supplier relationships at the corporate level and the product segments associated with those key supplier partners. This is the leader of the commercial strategy and serves as the liaison between the supplier and the sales organization.

Essential Functions
Maximize overall growth and profitability of the product line
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans
Understanding impact of global markets, building an in-depth knowledge of product lines and the factors driving supply and demand
Strategically collaborate with Leadership, Sales, Purchasing, and Planning to formulate a product offering and inventory strategy to support profitable growth
Effectively managing cost negotiations, growth initiatives, supply forecasting, and price management
All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or related training equivalent required
Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility preferred
Financial business acumen as demonstrated by previous work experience
Sales or sales management experience preferred
Commodity and/or Engineering plastics market experience

Licenses / Certifications:

Valid driver’s license – required

Language:

Proficiency in English required
Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
