Your new role
The Interim Marketing Segment Lead, Enterprise will assume responsibility for maintaining the momentum of the segment's marketing strategy and achieving revenue goals during a 14-month maternity leave. Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Segment Marketing, this role will ensure the continued delivery of existing marketing initiatives, maintain strong collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams, and support cross-functional alignment within Digital Science. This role will focus on executing established plans for lead generation, pipeline growth, brand alignment, data-driven decision-making, and AI-driven marketing workflows, with frequent check-ins with the VP Enterprise Segment Marketing.

What you’ll be doing
Maintain Leads and Pipeline Growth:
- Continue to execute existing Account-Based Marketing initiatives, targeting strategic customers for cross-sell, up-sell, and net new opportunities.
- Support pre-show campaigns and manage post-event follow-ups for trade conferences and industry events, ensuring alignment with established goals.
- Maintain collaboration with Product and Product Marketing teams to tailor Product GTM plans to specific personas and regions.
- Continue to collaborate with thought leadership teams to produce segment-specific content for marketing campaigns.
Maintain Strategic Planning:
- Manage the existing comprehensive marketing program to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Continue to monitor and evaluate performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
- Maintain marketing planning, budgeting activities and forecasting for the segment.
Support Sales Success:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for segment sales team needs, ensuring continued support for sales success.
- Continue to solicit input and feedback from sales regarding content, campaigns, and messaging.
- Manage and maintain sales pitch decks, ensuring uniformity and relevance.
Maintain Customer/Industry Knowledge and Engagement:
- Continue to develop messaging and branding, ensuring alignment with the target segment and Digital Science tone of voice.
- Maintain and refine buyer personas within the segment.
- Continue to uncover and leverage industry partnerships.
- Support customer engagement initiatives, including advisory boards and roundtables.
- Maintain segment newsletters.
- Continue to lead segment marketing strategy, working with colleagues to deliver on requirements across social, web etc.
Maintain Events:
- Continue to determine key industry events for sponsorship and attendance.
- Continue to identify and collaborate with speakers for compelling presentation content.
- Support the creation of Digital Science proprietary events.
Maintain Segment Marketing Success:
- Continue to play a pivotal role in the Enterprise Segment Marketing Team, supporting cross-segment initiatives.
- Focus on maintaining operational consistency across marketing strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
Handover and Transition:
- Document all changes and actions taken during the 14 month period and share monthly updates with the VP Enterprise Segment Marketing and other colleagues as needed.
- Ensure a smooth and comprehensive handover of all responsibilities, strategies, and ongoing projects to the returning Marketing Segment Lead.
What you’ll bring to the role
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in marketing to enterprise buyers, with a focus on life sciences, financial services/commercial banking, and R&D-intensive segments such as manufacturing and high tech.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven track record of executing established marketing campaigns within the Enterprise sector in required segments.
- Creative marketing abilities with excellent persuasive writing skills.
- Strong understanding of research roles and responsibilities in the Enterprise segment.
- Hands-on experience with sales and marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Pardot, Customer.io) and project management tools (Asana).
- Experience working within a matrix organization.
- A self-starter with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude.
