As there is an increasing demand for automation in the actuarial world, and a significant need to implement Python into our processes, we would like to expand our team with a Data Engineer with Python skills and experience, who will help with maintaining existing scripts and developing new solutions in our process automation projects connecting mainly with data transformation.

Your role
As a Data Engineer with Python, your main responsibilities will involve:
Maintain, review, and support the development of existing automation solutions primarily in Python
Design and implement maintainable, scalable, optimal, and clean code, primarily in Python
Proactively understand business requirements and translate them into superior software implementations through an agile change management cycle (e.g., design, initial prototype, user feedback, further optimization/industrialization)
Design a standardized framework around Python including the governance
Support the development of other relevant application components (e.g., internal Python libraries, Jupiter Hub integration, etc.)
Contribute to end-to-end process automation
Your Skills And Experience
As a Data Engineer with Python, your skills and experience will ideally include:
Master in Math/Data science or related fields
3+ years experience of coding in Python is a must
2+ years of experience as a data engineer ideally working in the financial environment
Experience with code standards/best practices is a must
Experience with DevOps tools is welcome
Analytical and data skills (e.g., experience with PowerBI, PowerQuery, and SQL) is plus
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
Interest in automation topics is a plus
Passion for technology and ability to develop innovative solutions with a problem-solving and solution-oriented attitude, with a strong commitment to quality
Strong sense of responsibility and adherence to deadlines
Good English (verbal and written)
