Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Sales Leader to lead our Immunology field sales team. This individual will play a critical role in building and executing regional sales strategy, coaching high-performing reps, and ensuring access to life-changing therapies for patients living with rare diseases. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in specialty markets, a passion for patient-centric selling, and a proven ability to lead in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Representatives across a multi-state region to achieve/exceed sales goals.
- Build and implement regional business strategies aligned with national objectives and product launch priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and compliance across the sales team.
- Collaborate with key internal partners including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services to drive strategic execution.
- Analyze regional performance data and market dynamics to identify opportunities and optimize resources.
- Support strategic customer engagement by joining field visits and cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), specialists, and institutional stakeholders.
- Ensure field team is equipped with the latest disease, product, and market access knowledge.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent while ensuring ongoing coaching and professional development.
- Ensure all activities comply with legal and regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing field-based teams.
- Demonstrated success in specialty or rare disease markets.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and team performance.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a launch or start-up environment.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region (up to 50%).
Preferred Skills
- Experience launching rare disease or specialty biologic therapies.
- Background in Immunology, Genetic Disorders, or Neurology preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient support programs, specialty pharmacy distribution models, and access/reimbursement dynamics.
- Prior experience working with KOLs and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
- Clinical credentials (e.g., PharmD, PA, NP) are a plus.
- Familiarity with Veeva CRM and digital sales enablement tools.
