Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Regional EHS Manager - Central Region. This is a remote position within the Central region of the United States or within a 50-mile radius of Cherrington, PA and requires the ability to travel 25% of the time. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities.

The Power Distribution Systems organization offers career opportunities at a variety of levels representing increased scope and responsibility within the organization. The Regional EHS Manager acts as a leader for the safety function and will provide safety guidance and direction for EESS leadership and  field-based personnel within a specific region. This position reports directly to the EESS division EHS Division and functionally to the Regional Director of their respective region.
    
Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all EHS aspects within the region.
  • Lead all incident management aspects, including but not limited to:  reporting, event review, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Assist with identifying safety exposures and developing short term and long-term strategies 
  • Coordinate/Perform Annual Employee required safety training and additional training as needed. 
  • Consult with leaders to assist with identifying and developing local safety initiatives.
  • Support and mentor field service employees by having the ability to demonstrate how to perform the work safely
  • Support local leadership teams in implementing and reviewing customer safety requirements
  • Partner with training department to review and assist with the development of division training processes to ensure that required EHS training is defined and is tracked to completion
  • Develop division safety programs for deployment to a distributive/remote workforce including corporate policies and regulations
  • Lead  monthly all hands safety meetings, provide details of updates to safety programs, changes, and develop safety topics
  • Support continuous improvement for safety
  • Perform DOC safety audits for local Eaton office, vehicle, and customer sites using the 5S platform to drive a safe workplace environment   
  • Serve as a resource to  operations by staying relevant and informed on safety, industry and technical related topics.
  • Work with other EHS Managers and field safety representatives to maintain consistency across each region.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Sciences, engineering (electrical, mechanical or engineering technology), or related field. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical field AND/OR EHS in industrial or electrical industry.
  • No relocation is being offered for this position. Candidates must reside within the central region of the United States OR within a 50 mile radius of Cherrington, PA. Active duty military candidates are exempt from this requirement
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Safety certifications: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Construction
  • Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Ability to demonstrate writing safety checklist and procedures
  • Familiar with Federal and State regulations (NFPA, OSHA, CSA).
  • Strong electrical background.
  • General awareness of environmental and situational safety hazards that may exist on job sites.
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Previous experience delivering informative/instructional presentations to field based and management level employees.
  • Knowledge of human and organizational performance 
  • Demonstrated experience working divisional or company wide

- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Willing to conduct air travel as needed.
