Job description

PURPOSE:

This position’s primary responsibility is to lead the sales department, with a focus on growing new territories and newer sales reps. Ultimately responsible for the company’s sales performance because they make decisions, set goals and lead the sales staff. This position will develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans. They will work closely with the sales team, but they will also work with other department heads, key clients and other stakeholders

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Team Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategic plan Attain sales targets
  • Hire and train BDEs
  • Lead BDEs in attaining their sales targets
  • New MRR growth strategy including pipeline development
  • Assist in resolving customer needs
  • Establish the Sales Team organizational structure, working with senior leadership to establish staffing requirements in line with corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Work with HR to develop recruiting, interviewing, and hiring methodology.
  • Setannualperformancetargetsfortheteamandforindividuals.Conductperformance reviews, identifying strengths and issues. Drive and develop better behavior to create strong team members.
  • Serve as escalation point.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ total years of experience,
  • Must have experience managing a variety of teams, including small engagements as well as large initiatives, with nondedicated resources from matrix organizations.

  • Has experience or proficiency with finance and technology projects and has “been there, done that” experience.
  • Ability to drive mandates and results across multiple teams with direct reporting relationships.
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity, ability to create focus and keep the team on track.
  • Passion for client service and creating great client experiences, with an attitude of going above and beyond to exceed expectations.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients and present to executive team.
  • Executive Sales Leader with experience in the MSP/MSSP market
  • Proven track record for building high performance Sales Teams
  • Experience driving quota attainment, through sales operations (pipeline management, deal support and process improvement)
  • Experience building a solid network of customers and partners that can assist the sellers in building pipeline and deal execution, via Ascend’s Partner Channel
  • Solid experience demonstrating Ascend core values.

Starting Salary: $200,000
Remote - with occasional travel
