Job description

This is a remote position.

VP, Marketing

Certificial, the creator of the Smart COI NetworkTM, has transformed how insurance coverage information is shared between Agencies, Suppliers, and their Customers.  We’re a fast-growing InsurTech that is in search of a VP, Marketing to expand our leadership team and build a world-class marketing organization.  

As the VP, Marketing, your primary responsibility will be to leverage marketing techniques and best practices to support scaling the new standard for verifying insurance coverage.  

What you’ll do:


  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set the direction of Certificial’s marketing organization.

  • Leverage our network effect to drive scalable, high-impact growth marketing across SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content aligned with industry trends.

  • Partner with market-facing teams to build Certificial's brand, align marketing with acquisition and retention initiatives, and collaborate with other key functions like Finance on budgeting & planning and People Operations to enhance Certificial’s employer brand.

  • Establish and lead lifecycle marketing strategy to ensure the right message, at the right time, is being delivered to prospective and existing clients.

  • Build and scale multi-channel buyer journeys across multiple customer segments and user cohorts, including PLG, CLG, SLG, and ABM journeys.

  • Own the top-of-funnel and post-sale product marketing pathways with best-in-class ICP messaging. 

  • Utilize marketing automation and system transactions to drive user adoption.

  • Analyze user data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for growth.

  • Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed to execute campaigns

  • Implement retention strategies to increase customer lifetime value and reduce churn.

  • Utilize marketing automation and system transactions to drive user adoption.

  • Conceptualize and partner with appropriate teams to launch and maintain a robust content marketing program (blog, email, social) that leverages Guideline's industry thought leadership

  • Own the marketing budget and measurement of qualitative and quantitative targets

  • Develop and lead the Certificial User Group program

 Other Functions:


  • Maintain brand consistency throughout the social, email, and web efforts

  • Research & manage all events (collateral development, booths, swag, logistics)

  • Assist in building and managing a content calendar that attracts all stakeholders to the platform, including reports, webinars, and infographics (design skills not required, but a bonus)

  • Manage and analyze social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

  • Assist in all marketing efforts for partnerships

  • Manage and develop all email marketing to grow and nurture leads

  • Copywriting (emails, collateral development, social media, blogs)

  • Ability to plan schedules and organize workload to meet deadlines

  • Work cross-functionally with other teams

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines


What you’ll bring:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Deep expertise in PLG, CLG, SLG, and ABM strategies.

  • Proven experience with two-sided or three-sided marketplace SaaS products.

  • Excellent communication and creative thinking skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Strong experience working with complex business models and innovative marketing strategies.

  • Expertise in Marketing Automation tools and leveraging technology for growth.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience in a B2B startup environment is highly preferred.

  • Insurance industry experience is a plus.


Compensation:


  • This role will receive a competitive base salary, bonus, benefits, and options. The base salary range for US-based employees is $50,000-$500,000.

  • Various factors are considered when determining someone's leveling and compensation, including a candidate's professional background and experience.
