1. Client Communication and Support:
Initial Consultations: Conduct initial client consultations to gather information and assess their immigration needs.
Client Updates: Keep clients informed about the status of their cases, providing updates on progress and any necessary actions.
Answering Inquiries: Respond to client questions and address their concerns related to immigration processes.
Language Support: Translate documents and communicate with clients who may have language barriers, particularly Spanish.
2. Document Preparation and Filing:
Form Preparation: Assist with completing and filing immigration forms and applications, such as visa petitions, petitions for permanent residence, and applications for citizenship.
Legal Document Preparation: Prepare and file petitions, motions, and other legal documents related to immigration cases.
Organizing Case Files: Maintain organized and up-to-date client files and records.
Obtaining Documents: Request and obtain necessary foreign documents to support clients’ cases.
3. Legal Research and Analysis:
Research Immigration Law: Conduct legal research on immigration laws, policies, and case precedents.
Analyze Case Documents: Thoroughly review case documents and legal precedents to identify pertinent information and potential challenges.
Monitor Legal Updates: Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Administrative and Organizational Tasks:
Scheduling: Coordinate and prepare for client interviews and court appearances.
Calendar Management: Maintain a comprehensive calendar to ensure timely filing of petitions, applications, and extensions.
Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including managing mail and courtroom filings.
Case Management: Oversee case files and maintain accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
Proven experience in immigration support, legal assistance, or a similar client-facing legal role.
Ability to conduct legal research and stay updated with current immigration laws and policy changes.
Proficiency in preparing and filing immigration forms, petitions, and legal documents with great attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and schedules simultaneously.
Excellent client service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
Tech-savvy with experience using tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and legal software platforms.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in coordinating court filings, interviews, and legal proceedings is a plus.
Comfortable keeping the camera on during working hours.
Note: To foster engagement and clear communication, team members are required to keep their cameras on throughout the entire shift. This helps maintain a collaborative and professional remote work environment.
