Global Payments is seeking a Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture to lead strategic architecture initiatives across our organization. This individual will play a critical role in defining and governing enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives, and driving innovation. The role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, financial technology, and large-scale systems integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mature the enterprise architecture function within Global Payments, driving architectural strategy and governance.
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices aligned with TOGAF, Zachman, and other methodologies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology strategy with business goals, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee integration efforts in large-scale M&A activities, ensuring seamless technology consolidation and alignment.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure robust architectural design across cloud, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of enterprise architects.
  • Define and drive the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring consistency, reusability, and scalability.
  • Represent enterprise architecture in key governance forums, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.
  • Drive conversations forward to ensure that technology decisions and architecture deliver tangible business value.
  • Participate in architectural reviews, ensuring consistency and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams to drive architectural initiatives
  • Proven track record in contributing to digital transformation and technology modernization efforts
  • Extensive experience in the payments or financial technology industry.
  • Expertise in TOGAF, Zachman, or similar EA frameworks.
  • Proven track record in leading enterprise architecture in a complex, global environment.
  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud architectures, including cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and API-driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the financial sector.
  • Previous experience in boarding and servicing, with hands-on experience with Salesforce.
  • Deep expertise across infrastructure, cloud, security, applications, and data management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive discussions and initiatives that ensure technology solutions deliver measurable business value.
