Job Description

The Business Development Strategist Principal is responsible for the development and execution of business development, contracting and marketing support necessary to drive client growth and retention through systematic tracking, comprehensive analytics, and internal stakeholder coordination.  This position works collaboratively with multiple internal departments including sales, marketing, account management, clinical, product development, legal, and contracting.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as point of contact for RFP question development and assist proposal writers with SME support
  • Assist Prime's Sales and Marketing teams to support enterprise growth goals
  • Collaborate with business development leaders to identify new strategies for business development including attending internal meetings related to prospects, reviewing proposal and contract documents, and updating presentations
  • Collaborate with external consultants and others within the industry
  • Develop Product Sales strategy to support product team's adoption of services and products with existing clients
  • Oversee development, upkeep and refresh of external facing materials such as slide decks, publications, client lists, and value story
  • Manage and/or attend external summits or conferences to obtain market research
  • Develop, maintain and deliver monthly pipeline reports and business development scorecards to leadership for visibility into new products and sales opportunities
  • Work with operational SMEs throughout Prime to understand the enterprise's operational capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
  • 7 years' experience including Managed Care space with Medicare Part D or Health Plans
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to anticipate market strategy and create/execute on multiple projects and manage project timelines
  • Strong collaboration skills; ability to work with and lead a variety of internal cross-functional teams at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations to leaders and subject matter expertise
  • Strong understanding of the Medicare Part D space and proven track record of strategy and/or sales support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree
  • Knowledge of CRM tools

Minimum Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to "move or traverse"
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment
  • Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $108,000.00 - $184,000.00 based on experience and skills.
