Position: Sr. Administrator, HRIS

Report to Title: Manager, HRIS

Location: US Remote

Date: April 2025

Position Overview:

The Sr. HRIS Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, system efficiency, and providing reliable support to HR and other stakeholders. This role supports highly confidential employee information and involves system configuration, data management, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration

  • Oversee daily operations of the HRIS, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and optimal performance.
  • Configure and maintain system settings, workflows, and modules according to organizational needs.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and permissions in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Data Management

  • Ensure high-quality data input, accurate record-keeping, and timely updates across the HRIS.
  • Conduct regular data audits and implement corrective measures to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to streamline data entry processes and integration with other systems.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Analyze HR data to provide insights that support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and address reporting needs.

User Support & Training

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and issues.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to HR staff and other end-users to maximize system utilization.
  • Facilitate change management processes during system updates or new implementations.

System Enhancements & Projects

  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and implementation projects.
  • Liaise with external vendors and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Recommend and implement system improvements to align with evolving business needs and industry best practices.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes.
  • Ensure the HRIS complies with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and security, addressing any vulnerabilities or issues proactively.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or comparable work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Workday administration, HR technology, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management) and data management best practices.
  • Experience with Workday is highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and the use of relevant software tools
