Capital Service Sales Manager – Sports Medicine (Remote, US)

The Capital Service Sales Manager – Sports Medicine is responsible for selling sports medicine service contracts, maintenance plans, and aftermarket services like equipment upgrades and contract amendments. This involves engaging with customers and internal sales teams through phone, email, and digital platforms.
What will you be doing?
This role focuses on reaching out to current and potential customers to offer additional services, such as maintenance plans, equipment upgrades, and contract extensions. Building strong relationships with both customers and internal sales teams is important to understand their needs and provide the right solutions. A key part of the job is following up on leads, inquiries, and expiring contracts to keep service revenue steady and growing.
Working closely with field sales, service teams, and technical staff helps ensure services are delivered smoothly. Keeping accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and contracts in CRM software like Salesforce is essential. Meeting sales goals and performance targets is expected, as well as helping customers understand the value of maintenance plans and upgrades. The role also involves handling customer concerns and objections to finalize service agreements. Staying informed about industry trends, company services, and competitor offerings is important for providing the best possible service.
What will you need to be successful?
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to identify and close sales opportunities.
Education: associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 5-8 years of inside sales, customer service & field support, or capital service-related sales experience preferred.
Travel Requirements: within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences
All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully complete our credentialing process, which often includes COVID 19 vaccine management.
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $90-115,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
In addition to base pay, the candidate is eligible for sales commission, incentives and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.
