About Jimdo

Join us to help unleash the power of the self-employed and help them thrive!

Jimdo was founded by three school friends in 2007 in a farmhouse in Northern Germany. Fast forward to today, we’re a growing, profitable business with a team of 250+ people from 50 nationalities based in over 15 countries. Our portfolio serves the unique needs of microbusinesses. In addition to our GDPR-compliant website builder powered by AI, we offer an online store, legal text generator, business listings, social media integration, SEO, and more. We’re constantly developing new products and services that make the lives of microbusiness owners easier and help fuel their businesses. If you’re inspired by our mission and like the idea of working for a dynamic remote-first company where you can create impact from day 1, we’d love to meet you!

Role Overview :

As a Senior Product Owner you will drive the end-to-end development and launch of JimdoPay, our payment solution. In this role, you will have full ownership of the product lifecycle—from initial concept through launch and ongoing optimization—ensuring that JimdoPay meets the needs of our diverse user base. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, marketing, sales, and compliance to deliver a best-in-class payment product.

In the early stages, your focus will be on key initiatives such as embedding payment functionality directly into Jimdo’s platform, enabling users to generate secure payment links for easier invoicing and transactions, and developing comprehensive quoting and invoicing tools that make it simple to create, send, and manage these documents. Looking ahead, the product roadmap will grow to include advanced features like tap-to-pay, softPOS, microfinancing, and other innovative payment capabilities.

Your impact:
  • Define Product Vision & Roadmap: Shape and execute the JimdoPay strategy in alignment with Jimdo’s mission and business goals.

  • Drive Product Execution: Own the product lifecycle—from discovery through launch and optimization—prioritizing features that add maximum user and business value.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, operations, and legal to deliver high-quality, timely product releases.

  • User Research & Insight Translation: Engage with users to understand needs and turn insights into intuitive features (e.g., quoting, invoicing, link-to-pay).

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (PSD2, KYC, AML) and data privacy standards in supported regions.

  • Partner & Platform Evaluation: Assess and collaborate with payment providers (Stripe, Adyen), optimizing contracts and platform choices for business success.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor product KPIs (conversion rates, adoption, transaction volume) and iterate continuously based on data.

  • Future-Ready Planning: Expand the roadmap into tap to pay, softPOS, and microfinancing.

What you bring:
  • Proven experience owning or contributing significantly to a payment product (preferably using Stripe or Adyen).

  • Strong background in SaaS, especially with onboarding flows and subscription models.

  • High proficiency in Agile product development, including sprint planning and backlog management.

  • Skilled in user research and translating pain points into clear, impactful features.

  • Business-savvy mindset with strong commercial acumen and familiarity with payment economics and partner contracts.

  • Solid understanding of EU financial compliance and regulatory frameworks (PSD2, KYC, AML).

  • Confident communicator and cross-functional leader with stakeholder management experience.

  • Data-driven and strategic problem-solver with a user-first mindset.
