Global Threat Data Technical Lead
Remote with frequent international travel (60%)

About Us

Recorded Future is a cutting-edge cybersecurity firm dedicated to disrupting organized crime and nation-state cyber threats. We specialize in advanced threat intelligence, leveraging global data partnerships to enhance visibility into malicious internet infrastructure.

We are seeking a Global Threat Data Technical Lead to drive the expansion of our threat intelligence capabilities by identifying, developing, and recruiting new threat data partners worldwide. This role is crucial in strengthening our intelligence visibility and maintaining our leadership in the cybersecurity landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Threat Data Partnerships: Identify, assess, and develop new partnerships to expand our visibility into internet-based infrastructure operated by organized crime and nation-state APTs. Leverage expertise in internet infrastructure to help evaluate and integrate new data sources, ensuring they provide actionable intelligence to improve our threat detection capabilities.
  • Global Engagement: Represent Recorded Future at industry conferences, security summits, and partner meetings to foster collaboration and intelligence-sharing agreements. Utilize your technical background in internet infrastructure to engage with global stakeholders and ensure our threat intelligence capabilities are understood and trusted by partners.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Lead negotiations for new partnerships, ensuring compliance with varying regulatory environments across different countries. Use your technical understanding of internet infrastructure to evaluate the viability of potential partnerships and ensure data is appropriately sourced, accurate, and valuable.
  • Cross-Cultural Expertise: Navigate diverse geopolitical, cultural, and regulatory landscapes to establish and maintain strong international relationships. Leverage your knowledge of global internet architecture to understand how threats operate in different regions and to ensure our intelligence capabilities are tailored to those needs.
  • Frequent Travel: Be prepared for extensive travel (60%-80%), mostly during Spring and Fall conference seasons, with occasional short-notice trips.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence, with deep familiarity in internet infrastructure, networking, and threat actor methodologies.
  • Experience working with technologies such as DNS, IP addresses, BGP routing, and web traffic analysis to identify and trace malicious actors operating within the global internet ecosystem.
  • Experience in business development, intelligence operations, or technical sales related to cybersecurity.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a particular focus on the technical underpinnings of internet infrastructure and how it relates to cyber threat intelligence.
  • Comfortable engaging with intelligence partners, government entities, and private sector organizations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in global regulatory environments and compliance frameworks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including to conferences and partner meetings — sometimes on short notice.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages (preferred but not required).

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, or operations.
  • Background in cybersecurity business development, partnerships, or intelligence-sharing agreements.
  • Familiarity with OSINT, SIGINT, or other intelligence collection methodologies.
  • Experience using internet infrastructure tools such as traceroute, WHOIS, or IP reputation services to track and analyze threats.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
