Global Quality Operations Central Planning (GQCP) is gearing up systems to support future product technology to ensure smooth operation and planning!

As a System Engineer in GQCP Team, we will be responsible to own and manage configuration and documentation for Manufacturing Asset Management (MAM) globally. We will collaborate closely with various engineering collaborators to setup accurate flow in the systems for the lots to be processed across different log points. Prior to migration to Manufacturing Execution System (MES), we will be the main owner of the MAM system in Taiwan operations supporting through Malaysia Penang office remotely.

We will also be the key person to enable system migration to MES and to influence its corresponding business processes are streamlined. We will have opportunity to define and manage timeline and readiness to ensure future system is error free and gap free. We will partner closely with collaborators from engineering, operations, system engineering, equipment support team such that the new system could comprehend the current and future need for operation excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage MAM system configuration for Taiwan Global Quality Lab Operation
  • Configure and maintain MAM process flows and disposition/business rules for the Taiwan operations for all product families and product types. Support other countries as necessary.
  • Understand engineering and operations needs and business processes and translate those processes into MAM flows using the MAM Document Editor tool.
  • Coordinate efforts with counterparts in other locations to ensure global alignment of flows and business logic. Respond to support calls related to MAM tracking issues.
  • Serve as a global attribute requestor, and implementer for Global Quality in business process ownership capacity when called upon.
  • Facilitate the migration to the new Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Represent GQ Operations team to ensure the vital system setup are called out, planned, and implemented accordingly for smooth system transition.
  • Align and coordinate GQ operations need, equipment support need and other need that need to be translated into new system timely.
  • Partnering with relevant collaborators, we ensure that User Acceptance Test cover the vital requirement for relevant teams including operation team and equipment team.
  • Influence corresponding business process for MES that is best to support GQ and its operations.

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial and system engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Good project management skill.
  • Experience or strong in system application.
  • Basic programming skill such as IF-ELSE statement.
  • Basic quality assurance knowledge.
  • Basic IT and Microsoft application knowledge.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills for global collaboration across various department
  • Good critical and analytical thinking skill.
  • Good problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work in several areas of a project development life cycle.
  • Great teammate, preferably with experience working on projects with global collaborators.
  • High adaptability and flexibility to deal with variety of problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to collaborate in various cultures to drive projects forward and to completion.
  • Able to articulate problem statement and address root cause.
  • Able to apply creativity and innovation into solutioning as needed.
