The Global Marketing and Events Leader is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global events, conferences, and client ambassador program strategy for FORTNA. This role will oversee the planning, development, production, and delivery of high-impact client experiences, including customer site tours, with a focus on driving lead generation, brand awareness, and client engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and managing an integrated event strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring seamless execution across all regions.
  • Leading the development, promotion, and follow-up of site tours, ensuring a consistent and exceptional client experience.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create compelling event messaging and digital assets that amplify FORTNA’s presence at industry shows, conferences, and client engagements.
  • Contributing to FORTNA’s social media channels by highlighting event participation, client experiences, and industry insights to enhance brand visibility.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive results through effective event execution and client engagement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Execute Event Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive events strategy that supports the entire sales funnel, driving both lead generation and client retention.
  • Design and Manage Show Site Program: Establish and oversee a formal show site program where prospective clients can visit existing client sites to gain firsthand insights into their experience with FORTNA.
  • Identify Key Events and Trade Shows: Evaluate and select relevant industry events and trade shows to maximize exposure to strategic accounts.
  • Coordinate Show Site Logistics: Identify show site clients, draft and manage show site agreements, and plan client visits by aligning site tours with specific operational highlights.
  • Collaborate on Event Initiatives: Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop creative event initiatives, including branding, agenda design, booth experiences, and flawless event execution.
  • Administer Client Loyalty Program: Manage and analyze FORTNA’s Client Loyalty Survey program, gathering insights to assess client sentiment and share findings with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and key stakeholders.
  • Measure Event Performance: Track and report on event performance, providing insights on return on investment (ROI) and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the right team members are present and engaged at key events.
  • Negotiate and Manage Vendor Relationships: Secure and oversee partnerships with external vendors to support successful event execution.
  •  Utilize Planning Tools: Develop and maintain essential planning tools such as budget trackers, project timelines, production schedules, and event specifications.
  • Create Event Communications: Develop and promote event content across social media platforms to enhance visibility and engagement. 
  • Enhance FORTNA Online Presence: Maximize brand exposure by regularly posting event updates across the website, social media platforms, PR sites, and the company intranet.
  •  Track and Report Marketing Performance: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of all marketing activities and deliverables on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Monitor Media Coverage: Track and report all media mentions, identifying opportunities to enhance brand visibility and influence.
  • Track and Manage Awards: Maintain a database of industry awards and recognitions, coordinate submissions, and manage communications around awards won to maximize exposure.
  • Support Additional Marketing and Event Initiatives: Contribute to various marketing and event-related projects as needed to support FORTNA’s strategic goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Business-to-Business marketing experience, including experience in event management and website management
  • Understanding of the business executive audience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing
  • Intermediate knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and work cross functionally
  • Exceptional project management and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel – approximately 25% of time primarily domestic with the possibility of international travel; however, this could change based on company’s impending business needs
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Supply Chain experience
  • Knowledge of the distribution market
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite

WORKING CONDITIONS:

When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet. When travelling to Client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending,

stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
