Who are we looking for: 
Woodard & Curran has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing firm and provide high-quality remediation services to our industrial, commercial, and municipal clients. The selected candidate will be a key member of our national Environmental Remediation Practice and work directly with a diverse and talented group of engineers and scientists at the firm. The ideal candidate is a Project Manager with strong technical experience delivering high-quality remediation engineering services to projects across the firm’s geography and core markets. In addition, the ideal candidate will be sought out by clients for innovative solutions and support, and will conduct business development efforts and keep abreast of critical client and industry regulations and issues.The successful candidate will be an energetic, motivated, growth-oriented professional who can work independently and lead multi-disciplined project teams. 
 
Offering Flexible Remote Schedule 
 
This virtual work schedule will support clients in the following locations: California, Washington, or Oregon. 
 
Travel up to 10%: local travel  

What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
  • Responsibilities include maintaining and establishing relationships with clients to procure and manage the scope, schedule, budget, and delivery of investigation and remediation projects.  
  • Work directly with clients and a team to lead the delivery of projects related to providing technical advice, planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services for these projects.  
  • Frequent interaction with clients, potential clients, owners and regulators. Business development efforts will include preparation of proposals, project interviews and marketing activities.  
  • Manage and supervise the projects developed utilizing Woodard & Curran technical and administrative staff.  
  • Lead and complete technical tasks as required to support the projects. 
  • Typical projects range from site assessment/investigation through remediation system design, construction, and operation.  
  • Specific experience and remedial focus areas include corrective measures/feasibility studies; preparation of detailed design plans and specifications; remediation construction bid evaluations; brownfields remediation and redevelopment; in-situ and ex-situ soil and groundwater remediation; vapor intrusion evaluations/mitigation; regulatory compliance; construction management; and documentation and reporting in accordance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.  
  • Work also involves the selection, coordination, and management of subcontractors, cost estimating, and management of the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks.  
  • Report writing and interaction with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies will also play an important role in the candidate’s success 

  • What You Will Need To Succeed:
  • 10 plus years of professional experience with an engineering consulting firm. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited program. MS desirable. 
  • Professional Engineer license (PE) required. 
  • Strong appreciation of and commitment to mandatory safe work practices. 
  • Client focused with an entrepreneurial spirit. 
  • Demonstrated experience with scoping, budgeting, and implementing complex and long-term site investigation and remediation programs. 
  • Technical experience in conceptual site model development, hydrogeological evaluations and models, and design and implementation of site remediation programs, including feasibility evaluations, remedy selection, and optimization. 
  • Ability to work independently and on large multi-disciplinary teams. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal skills. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and develop a project team.
