Reporting to the Manager, Client Communications, the Client Communications Manager III contributes to the development/implementation of our strategic plan supporting new payer implementations and product launches. This position works across functional areas to create, implement, and report out on communications programs. The Client Communications Manager III is responsible for informing new and existing Availity Essentials portal users about the benefits and capabilities of our products. The Client Communications Manager III owns primary responsibility for conveying information to provider offices about portal migrations and implementations, new functionality and features, and product training.  This person also communicates business issues that enhance existing client retention and satisfaction.  A high degree of business acumen and inquisitiveness is required. This is a business communications position with an expectation that the successful candidate will possess or acquire (within the first 3 months) a solid understanding of Availity’s business operations and markets.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher educational certification in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing communications, journalism, or advertising experience. 
  • Possess superior writing and editor skills with the ability to communicate information in a simplified format. Writing samples will be required. 
  • High aptitude for creating straightforward messages about technically complex topics. 
  • Bring strong organizational and project management skills with a track record of delivering on multiple, concurrent commitments with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record with senior leaders exercising sound judgment and business acumen. 
  • Ability to collaborative in a rapidly changing environment with numerous deadlines. 
  • Curious by nature and detail oriented.
  • Experience in conceptualizing, developing and implementing communication plans and deliverables. 
  • Thrive amidst multiple competing priorities and deadlines.

  • A background working in health care, health insurance or information technology 
  • The ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and influence others to meet and exceed expectations. 
  • Knowledge of KPI’s and evaluating overall campaign performance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management/project management skills. 

You will be:

  • Serving as communications liaison for health plan and internal Availity stakeholders. 
  • Working cross departmentally to develop and execute communications plans. 
  • Leading communications-related project meetings and proactively identifying and addressing communications/project gaps. 
  • Managing and executing on communications plans, schedules, roadmap, cadence, etc. 
  • Reviewing co-branded communication and marketing materials developed by health plan to ensure compliance with Availity brand standards. 
  • Working with internal and external senior leadership.
  • Aligning with training strategies to communicate appropriate training solutions to providers. 
  • Supporting product launches with strategic communications plans.
