The Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Total Rewards, the Presidio U.S. Benefits Administrator will be the primary contact to Presidio’s U.S. benefit carriers and manage U.S. employee enrollment and benefit-related inquiries as well as manage and administer employee leave and accommodation requests ensuring compliance with all applicable laws regulations and company policies across the U.S.   This individual contributor role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with empathy and professionalism. 

Responsibilities include and MUST have at least 5 years of experience with the following:

  • Administer U.S. employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and leave policies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for benefits providers and our employees.
  • Lead Annual Benefits Open Enrollment and Acquisition Enrollment activities.
  • Reconcile employee benefits monthly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to benefits.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Manage benefits module in UKG, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary resource for employees regarding benefits changes and updates.
  • Stay informed about federal and state regulations regarding employee benefits, ensuring the company adheres to all legal requirements like COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA, ACA.
  • Clearly communicate benefit information to employees through presentations, webinars, and employee portals, including enrollment periods and plan changes. 
  • Monitor benefit costs, identify areas for cost optimization, and make recommendations to management regarding benefit plan adjustments. 
  • Track key metrics related to benefit utilization and employee satisfaction, using data to inform future benefit strategy. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor benefit offerings to ensure the company's benefits package remains competitive. 
  • Advise on the leave of absence application process and benefits with employees and HR teams. This includes short and long-term leave of absence (FMLA, medical, maternity, paternity, parental, personal, etc.) based on internal policy and external federal, state, and municipal laws and ordinances.
  • Review and assess employee accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), other applicable laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with HR, payroll, and Presidio’s 3rd party leave administrator to ensure accurate tracking and administration of leave and accommodation requests.
  • Keep up to date on all state laws related to leave of absence such as state-paid family Leave

    Required Skills and Professional Experience 

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
    • 5-7 years in a benefits administration role is required.
