Who We Are
At Marmon Plumbing and Refrigeration, our mission is to protect and secure the IT infrastructure supporting our businesses. We’re committed to safeguarding our systems and data, and we're looking for an experienced IT Security Architect to join our team and lead these initiatives. While we prefer candidates based in the Chicago, IL area, we are open to remote candidates in CST or EST.

What You’ll Do
As the IT Security Architect, you will play a vital, hands-on role in our cybersecurity efforts. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct risk assessments using a consistent risk framework across the P&R companies to identify potential threats and risks and develop risk register and mitigation strategies. (Initial travel to various P&R companies involved).
  • Develop Zero Trust Architecture roadmap collaborating with the P&R IT and Business leaders.
  • Ensures compliance with Marmon IT-30 Security and Operations policies (based on CIS), NIST 2.0 CSF (as relevant), and other regional security / privacy regulations.
  • Implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data.
  • Working with external vendors and internal teams, monitor security events to detect and investigate potential security breaches or threats.
  • Working with external vendors and internal teams, manage security incidents, including containment, investigation, and recovery.
  • Train employees in IT security best practices and raise awareness about cyber threats.
  • Liaison and partner with Marmon Corporate security teams and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management to communicate security posture and risks.
  • Research and recommend security tools that are needed to enhance the security posture of the company. 
  • Partners with operations teams and recommend security best practices for IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology).
  • Manage security tools and relationship with Security Vendors within the P&R ecosystem.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field or 5 years of relevant experience.  
  • Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and NIST Cybersecurity frameworks (CSF 2.0).
  • At least five years of experience in IT security management, preferably in a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and other tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Security (multiple tenants, Intune, Entra AD, Azure), Cisco, VMWare, Qualys, Sentinel One, Abnormal Security.
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, including communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as NIST 2.0, CSF.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.

Pay Range:

96,000.00 - 144,000.00
