Reports to:  Sr Manager, NA Creative Ops & Production

Location:  US Remote

The Role

Experiential Designer, NA Retail and Events will be part of the HOKA North America Marketing Organization. They will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and spatial identity of HOKA across various retail and event environments in North America. The purpose of this position is to create dynamic, immersive experiences that enhance customer interaction and reflect the core values of the HOKA brand. This role is ideal for a designer with a passion for environmental design, strong and active skills as a graphic designer, a sharp eye for detail, experience working with consumer brands, and the ability to blend creativity with technical expertise in the production of branded experiences.

Your Impact

This role will work closely with our internal global creative team as well as regional wholesale, events and retail teams across the region to ensure that our brand remains consistent, relevant, and resonates with our target audiences. In partnership with global and regional stakeholders, they will be responsible for the adoption and adaptation of global programs and ideation and development of regionally-significant retail campaigns, activation toolkits, internal presentations and event graphics. Additionally they will have a sense of motion graphics, video, and digital design, able to craft smart, innovative, and engaging concepts across digital, physical, and print mediums.

We’d love to hear from people with

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Environmental/Exhibition Design, Retail Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design,  or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail design, event design, experiential design, or a similar field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating spatial, environmental and graphic design work.
  • Proficiency in 2D drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Vectorworks) and 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, Enscape, Podium, Keyshot) to create high-quality visuals with simulated materials and lighting.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with additional tools such as Figma and basic graphic design.
  • Experience working with brands, adhering to brand guidelines, and creating visually appealing designs across various platforms that align with brand identity.

Skills/Competencies:

  • A current portfolio that exhibits a strong understanding of modern design principles, typography, color theory, layout techniques, and visual storytelling.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles, including digital and motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with print production processes, color management, and pre-press procedures, with experience collaborating with print vendors.
  • Excellent spatial design and graphic design skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience in art direction for physical retail and event environments, sets, and displays, and the ability to present and communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Experience with fabrication shops and specialty vendors, including managing sourcing, fabrication, and installation processes.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.

$90,000 - $100,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
