Location: Australia (ideally Sydney) | Remote-first with occasional travel | Full-Time

What You’ll Do

As our APAC Field Service & Customer Success Engineer, you’ll wear multiple hats—support technician, trusted advisor, and care plan coordinator. Your role will include:

On-Site Technical Service & Support

  • Delivering on-site and remote technical support for our advanced Kongsberg cutting systems
  • Training distributor engineers and end customers across APAC
  • Troubleshooting, machine moves, and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting installations and handling service documentation

Commercial & Customer Success Responsibilities

  • Supporting our Care Plan program — tracking renewals, ensuring customer retention, and maintaining satisfaction
  • Acting as a key point of contact for resellers and customers in the region
  • Identifying potential service opportunities and working with the Service Lead to maximize account value

Internal Collaboration & Development

  • Supporting APAC support queues and coordinating with internal teams
  • Participating in team meetings and growing into larger leadership responsibilities over time


Note: While travel will be limited in the first year, occasional travel (approximately once a month) across APAC is expected in year two and beyond.


Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who’s as confident with customers as they are with a screwdriver. You’re calm under pressure, organized, and naturally take ownership. You bring:

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • Fluent English (Japanese a strong plus for working with our Japanese distributors)
  • Solid MS Office and strong communication skills
  • Field service experience or similar customer-facing technical background
  • Clean driving license and valid work rights in Australia
