What's the opportunity? 

We are looking for a strategic and driven Country Manager to lead dLocal’s market strategy and partnerships in Colombia, enabling local payment processing for top global merchants. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on local’s growth by building and optimizing the payment infrastructure in one of our key markets.


What will I be doing?
  • Identify, approach, and build strong relationships with acquirers, banks, and key financial partners in Colombia.
  • Negotiate and execute commercial agreements to support local payment processing and collection efforts.
  • Partner with internal teams (product, tech, operations, legal) to integrate local partners into dLocal’s platform and align on roadmaps.
  • Monitor and analyze transaction performance and partner impact, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Improve processes and systems for local payment methods to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Stay informed on local regulations and licensing requirements, working closely with legal, tax, and accounting experts to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with the commercial and merchant teams to develop, refine, and scale key payment products tailored to the Colombian market.
  • Represent dLocal at industry events and maintain a strong local network within the fintech and payments ecosystem.


  • What skills do I need?
  • Proven experience in the Colombian payments or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of local payment systems and market dynamics.
  • Established local network within the banking, fintech, or financial services space.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully executing strategic partnerships and contracts.
  • Regulatory awareness: Solid understanding of Colombia’s regulatory landscape, especially as it relates to payments and financial services.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience – you’ve worked effectively with product, tech, legal, and operations teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Analytical mindset and a hands-on approach to solving problems and optimizing performance.
  • Curiosity, drive, and a positive attitude – you’re always learning and pushing for better outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with a self-starter attitude and comfort operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Technical knowledge (e.g. APIs, payment platforms, integrations) is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
