Job description

Job Description:

We are looking for a Revenue Recognition Manager to join our Finance team! In this role, you will support our Revenue accounting team across technical accounting as well as operations. You will own the revenue accounting close process, ensure US GAAP compliance on revenue as well as scale the revenue close and reporting processes. What You'll Do: 

  • Collaborate with other business functions (Sales, Legal, Deal Desk and Corporate Finance) to provide potential revenue outcomes based on business proposals 

  • Provide technical and accounting systems (Workday and SFDC) subject matter expertise for the Revenue Accounting Team 

  • Maintain the Team’s accounting policies and positions, including their on-going evaluation with business needs 

  • Reporting on both operational and external financial statements that comply US GAAP (ASC 606) 

  • Lead or support on-going projects for streamlining, automation and transformation 

  • Managing M&A activities and post-acquisition integration and contract review for revenue related matters 

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end revenue closing process 

  • Assist with internal and external audit review and audit requests 

  • Manage and mentor junior accounting team members   

 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and CPA license required 

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience including revenue recognition, preferably in a public accounting firm (“Big 4”) or the equivalent of public company experience; familiarity and experience as a reviewer is preferred 

  • Strong technical knowledge and working experience of US GAAP, SEC rules, including ASC 606 

  • Working experience and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements 

  • Proven prioritization and proactive problem solving to meet internal and external deadlines in a dynamic working environment  

  • Operational expertise and process-orientation

  • Expert analytical skills in using excel to analyze financial data; familiarity with Workday preferred 

 

Base pay for US is $130,000 - $140,000, depending on qualifications.  In addition, Phreesia also offers equity as part of an attractive & comprehensive Total Rewards package. Phreesia is a fully remote company; however, candidates located in ET and CT regions are given priority in the hiring process.
