Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Howe Innovation Center, you will be responsible for creating quality market briefs of innovation trends happening in the disability tech market. You will conduct research and analysis of specific products, services, and companies as they relate to certain disabilities. You will also maintain and expand our existing, proprietary DisabilityTech database.
 

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations include the following.

  • Overseeing the aggregation and input of data to maintain our ever evolving disability-tech database

  • Carrying out in-depth industry market research for various products, services, company profiles, and industry trends based on parameters provided by the Director of Innovation

  • Extrapolating trends relevant to a specific analysis

  • Writing in depth summaries and reports of companies and market trends; including displaying the information in graphically compelling ways

  • Work with other teams internally, such as the marketing and fundraising teams, to collaborate on research dissemination

Education and/or Experience 

  • Proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth research (research sample required)

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate key ideas, both verbally and in writing

  • No prior experience in the disability space is necessary, although an interest is required
