Job description

Company Overview:
We're working with a growing US legal tech startup.  Their AI-driven tools help thousands of users simplify complex legal workflows and reduce stress.
Your Role:

As a Backend Engineer, you'll build new features and MVPs, working closely with a team focused on practical solutions and fast-paced delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop backend services and APIs, primarily using Python
  • Quickly prototype, develop, and release MVPs and new product features.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Help optimize data storage and real-time data processing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality improvements.
  • Work closely with senior team members to solve challenging problems.
You Bring:
  • 3–5 years of backend development experience.
  • Experience developing APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC).
  • Comfortable with relational databases (like PostgreSQL or MySQL) and some experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • A proactive, flexible, startup mindset—comfortable with rapid changes.
  • Good problem-solving skills and clear communication in English.

Bonus Points:
  • Experience working in software services companies or software factories, delivering MVPs or multiple projects rapidly.
  • Familiarity with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Interest or experience in legal tech or similar fields.
